“F*** I hate TOK” complained Tom. But Chloe and JD weren’t listening. They were too busy playing with their super-fantastically-cool rubber cars. $haniqwa tried to destroy the cars, but the cars were made of strong stuff. They travelled over speed bumps and bridges.
“So what you’re saying Miss Nesbette, is that we really don’t know anything?”
“No Leah, I’m saying that you have to make a decision about whether you believe that you don’t know anything at all, or whether you think you could possibly obtain secure knowledge. And what is secure knowledge? Can we securely know the meaning of it?”
“Enough miss” said Johnny “My head hurts”
“Break Time?” demanded Jess.
And the IB crew got ten minutes of peace. Until it was time for Biology again.
“Error bars ruin my life!” Shouted Chloe.
“Yeah” said Johnny “I’m sure the person reading the report doesn’t actually care how accurate it is.”
“And don’t get me started on cells” continued Chloe “I bet they don’t even exist.”
“Hush children” said Carlisle “Just Chill”
“Hey!” Shouted Leah “That’s Chloe’s thing!”
“Oh Snap!” Added JD
Carlisle just shook his head and continued writing notes on the board. None of the content was actually getting through to the IB crew. Their brains were like mush without caffeine.
And the next day the magic started. Leah woke up and looked in the mirror…
“OH MY GOSH!!!” She screamed. Her hair was a beautiful red colour, just like she told Chloe she wanted it. When she got to school, Steph approached her
“OMG Leah! I have something I need to show you she said excitedly JD and I made these in biology”
Steph pulled out some brown coloured patches from her bag.
“What are they?” Asked Leah
“Caffeine patches” she explained “it was Chloe’s idea”
In English they all applied the caffeine patches to their arms and got a rush of excitement. They were able to do their work efficiently, and the quality level was like nothing the teachers had ever seen before.
During the next few weeks, other strange things started to happen. In the middle of their second maths exam, JD and Chloe’s cars started flying around the classroom. Seeing as they were IB students, they looked at the flying cars, laughed, and continued with their maths exam.
